Blood flow

The right atrium receives blood from the body, which then flows into the right ventricle and is forced into the pulmonary arteries in the lungs. The blood returns to the heart via the pulmonary veins, passing through the left atrium, left ventricle, and aorta before exiting the body’s tissues.
